March 2021 Housing Statistics

Local Insight for Saint Mary's County

Well Southern Maryland the numbers are in, and yes, we still need homes to sell. If you have been considering selling you will want to know that 100.4% of homes sold in March went over their listing price. The average days on market dropped to a mere 24, a 5-year low. I personally know that many have sold in as little as one day. Also notable, the values are increasing, the median sold sales price was $325,000 up from last year's median price of $305,000. Below is the full report if you would like to dive a little further into the numbers.

All interesting information and great news if you are looking to sell, discouraging news if you are wanting to buy. I have managed to secure several properties for my buyers this month. Although it is tough, it can be done it just takes being prepared to act, acting with great speed, precision, and accuracy which a good realtor can do.

There has been a little lull in new business, but I see with springtime more and more interested buyers. If you are in need of a tenacious, can-do realtor, I am a phone call away.
